The news surrounding the future of Parramatta Eels star Semi Radradra seemingly changes by the day.

Earlier this week news emerged that the Fijian flyer was poised to leave the club and Rugby League, taking up an $800,000 a year offer from French Rugby club Bordeaux.

There was great fear that Radradra, who is currently outside the country, would follow in the steps of former NRL star Sonny Bill Williams and desert his club to join the French Top 14.

However, The Daily Telegraph has today revealed that Radradra’s player agent George Chistodoulou confirmed the Australian representative will return home and honour his contract with the Parramatta club.

“Semi is currently on holiday back in Fiji over the bye round, this trip was planned and booked in conjunction with the Eels.

“He will be returning to Australia next week and play against the Sharks. He will see out the remainder of his Eels contract until the end of 2017,” Christodoulou told The Telegraph via text message.

Radradra’s manager also cleared up the misinformation around the 24-year-olds whereabouts, saying there was nothing untoward in his return home to Fiji, releasing a statement along with the Parramatta Eels.

“Like other Eels players during the bye round, Semi was granted leave by the club to return home and visit family. This has led to some unnecessary speculation regarding his future.

“I have spoken to Semi directly and he would like to assure Eels fans and the wider rugby league community that he will be returning as scheduled in time to prepare for Eels’ next NRL game against Cronulla.”

“He remains fully committed to his teammates and will be remaining with the Eels until at least the end of the 2017 season, as per his current contract”, said Chistodoulou.
