Tournament favourite Ash Barty has taken another step towards Australian Open glory after disposing of Camila Giorgi in straight sets.
The Ngarigo woman breezed past her Italian opponent 6-2 6-3 in just over an hour to progress to the fourth round.
The World No.1 has not dropped a set in her three matches and has only lost 8 games as she builds momentum towards a first home grand slam title.
The win was built off a 61 per cent first-serve success rate, which she converted to points more than 90 per cent of the time.
She will face American Amanda Anisimova who upset defending champion Naomi Osaka 4-6 6-3 7-6 (10-5).
