"Just let him play" says Sattler over Graham's Origin fate

Wade Graham will fight for his State of Origin jumper, but a former Queensland star says he should be free to play.

Rugby League veteran Scott Sattler believes Wade Graham will be hard done by should he miss next Wednesday’s second State of Origin through suspension.

Graham has been named to make his Origin debut, but will face the NRL judiciary after being charged with a Grade One careless high tackle charge on North Queensland’s Johnathan Thurston.

The Sharks forward must fight the charge at the judiciary in order to play for New South Wales, but Sattler told NITV’s League Nation Live he should have no case to answer.

“I think you’ve got to take into context the reaction of Paul Green and Johnathan Thurston at the post match press conference. They said ‘there’s nothing in it, it was just a slip’, let’s just move on.

“He’s got loading as well, but I think you should be able to take that evidence in. You’ve got a Queenslander and a legend as well saying there’s nothing in that tackle.

“Just let him play,” said Sattler.
