As the Red Earth Arts Festival continues to roll through the Pilbara region, Western Australia's newest contemporary dance company has been taking audiences on a unique cultural journey.
Ochre's latest production, Pulse, explores and celebrates a connection to country through the eyes of Indigenous and non-Indigenous dancers and choreographers.
Pulse was performed in Karratha on Friday night and the previous evening in Roebourne as part of the annual Red Earth Pilbara Arts Festival.
The Red Earth Arts Festival is on until the 21st of September and will travel through the Pilbara towns of Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne, Wickham and Point Samson.
Pulse is the second only production to be performed by Australia's newest major arts company based in Perth.
Other acts in the festival include Murri Indie band, The Medics and films including Satellite Boy, the Neomad animation series and Rabbit Proof Fence.
