Indigenous All Stars captain Latrell Mitchell has the go-ahead from his club to take the field this October long weekend for the Koori Knockout in Bathurst.

Rabbitohs boss, Blake Solly, confirmed his support for the Biripi man to Fox Sports.

“Latrell is fit and available to play," said Solly.
We support the tournament and any of our players who are fit, available and want to play, we support them playing in it.
“It’s an important event for them and the community."

The call comes amidst the club's attempt to reduce Mitchell's one-game ban as a result of a controversial leaked photo, to see him return for the club's final game of the season this weekend.
Mitchell was set to return this weekend from a foot injury, which has ruled him out since Round 19.

Fox Sports have reported that while no official decision has been made public, it is likely he will be forced to sit out the opening NRL round of next season.

Speaking on the Knockout Podcast, the Biripi and Wiradjuri man declared he was set to "go back home" to play with Taree, after playing for Newcastle Yowies last year.
