This weekend's playlist showcases beautiful songs sung all or partly in language. Language adds a richness and depth to music like nothing else can.

Emma Donovan - Ngarraanga
Ngarraanga (Remember) or Ngarraanga Ngiinundi Yuludarra (Remember Your Dreaming) is Emma Donovan's tribute to the Stolen Generations. The clip was shot at Carriageworks in Redfern in Sydney and features the extraordinarily talented Torres Strait Islander dancer, Albert David, tradtional language, inter-woven with archival footage.

Gawurra - Ratja Yaliyali
The lead single and title track from Gawurra's debut album 'Ratja Yaliyali' (meaning 'Vine of Love'). This songline is sung in Gapupaygnu.

Emily Wurramurra - Ementha-Papaguneray (Turtle Song)
Talented up and coming singer/songwriter, Emily sings original music both in English and Anindilyakwa, her original language.

A Tribe Called Red ft OKA and Chippewa Travelers
A powerful collaboration between two First Nations musical powerhouses. A Tribe Called Red called on OKA to shape this song for their latest album, with Stu Fergie from OKA stating that 'Maima Koopi' basically means 'mother warrior'.
