An English-born lead and occasional supporting player in features and television productions on both sides of the Atlantic, Hugh Dancy specializes in essaying romantic young men in features like "Ella Enchanted" (2004), "Elizabeth I" (Channel 4/HBO, 2005-06), "Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction" (2006) and "The Jane Austen Book Club" (2007). Though he shined in such roles, Dancy's palette was varied enough to allow for more complex characters in independent features like "Evening" (2007), which cast him as an artist unable to reconcile his love for Patrick Wilson, or the former lover of an unstable heiress in "Savage Grace" (2007).
