An attractive British performer of stage, screen and TV, Seagrove made her film debut in a small part in Jerzy Skolimowski's "Moonlighting" (1982). The large-eyed blonde actress first gained attention, however, for her turn as Peter Riegert's love interest in Bill Forsyth's whimsical comedy, "Local Hero" (1983). Seagrove has subsequently appeared in several films by Michael Winner, including "Appointment with Death" (1988) and "A Chorus of Disapproval" (1989), and was suitably eerie as the mysterious nanny in William Friedkin's "The Guardian" (1990).
