Makrand Deshpande was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Deshpande started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro" (1989), the drama "Naseem" (1996) with Mayoori Kango and "Makdee" (2002). He continued to act in productions like the drama "Swades" (2004) with Shah Rukh Khan, the Rajat Kapoor romantic comedy "Raat Gayi Baat Gayi" (2009) and the foreign "Khatta Meetha" (2010) with Akshay Kumar. Recently, he continued to act in "Red Alert: The War Within" (2010) with Sunil Shetty, the Prateik Babbar dramatic comedy "My Friend Pinto" (2011) and "Amen" (2013) with Indrajith. Deshpande most recently acted in the Bugs Bhargava sports "Hawaa Hawaai" (2014).
