Robert Torti was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Torti kickstarted his acting career appearing on various dramas, including "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996), "Generations" (NBC, 1988-1991) and "Quantum Leap" (NBC, 1988-1993). He also landed roles in movies like "Alley Cat" (1984) and the action movie "Private Investigations" (1987) with Clayton Rohner. Several more television roles followed in the nineties, including stints on "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper" (ABC, 1992-97) and "Can't Hurry Love" (CBS, 1995-96). He also appeared in the TV special "The All New Circus of the Stars & Side Show XVII" (CBS, 1992-93). He also appeared in the dramatic comedy "That Thing You Do!"
