The Change

Linda, a fifty-year-old mother of two, isn't exactly thrilled when she finds out she's menopausal. In an attempt to claim her identity back, she leaves her life behind to live in a caravan in the Forest of Dean.

Linda heads into the forest to search for a time capsule, where she meets the Pig Man, a recluse who lives in the woods with wild boars. Gradually, it becomes clear that Pig Man may know more about the time capsule than he's letting on.

The town is preparing for the annual town meeting, where the Eel sisters make an exciting announcement. However, Linda isn't really excited about it and is considering going home until news of a threat to the forest gives her renewed purpose.

Linda receives an explosive visit from her sister Siobhan, who's furious about Linda's decision to take some time away from Steve and the kids; the Verderer comes up with a way to stop the developers by living in a tree.

On the eve of the Eel Festival, Linda joins up with Joy and the Eel sisters to help with the final preparations. But she soon starts feeling guilty about the big secret that she has been hiding.

The Eel Festival has arrived, and the town is buzzing with excitement. Even the honorary Eel Child, the Verderer, comes down from his tree to celebrate. But the harmony is soon broken as secrets come to light.
