Sy Richardson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Richardson began his acting career with roles in such films as "The Other Cinderella" (1976), the Yvonne De Carlo comedy "Nocturna" (1978) and "Adult Fairy Tales" (1978). He also appeared in "Repo Man" (1984) with Harry Dean Stanton, "Sid and Nancy" (1986) and "Straight to Hell" (1987). His film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like "Street Asylum" (1990), "Tripwire" (1990) with Terence Knox and the Paul Butler drama "To Sleep With Anger" (1990). He also appeared in "The Grifters" (1990). In his more recent career, he continued to act in the Charles Malik Whitfield drama "The Playaz Court" (2000), the action film "Extreme Honor" (2001) with Dan Anderson and "Surviving Christmas" (2004) with Ben Affleck. He also appeared in the comedy "Searchers 2.0" (2007) with Del Zamora and the romantic comedy "Our Family Wedding" (2010) with Forest Whitaker. Richardson most recently acted on "Documentary Now!" (IFC, 2014-15).
