Bella Ramsey was born in England in September of 2003. As a child, Ramsey found acting to be a satisfying hobby and attended a theater arts school in the United Kingdom and then took the leap into auditioning for professional roles. Ramsey was chosen for the role of Lyanna Mormont in the HBO drama "Game of Thrones" (2011-19). Ramsey went on to voice the title character in "Hilda" (Netflix, 2018-20) and the feature film "Hilda and the Mountain King" (2021). In 2021, Ramsey was cast as Ellie in "The Last of Us" (HBO, 2023-). It was in this role that Ramsey was the first non-binary actor to be nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
