Christina Elmore was an American actress from Sacramento, California. Elmore attended Harvard University, earning a bachelor's degree in African American studies in 2009. While there, she acted in many stage productions, including "Twelfth Night" and "Nine," and continued her acting studies at the American Conservatory Theater. She earned a master's degree in the acting program at the institution, and acted on stage while studying and beyond in other productions like "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "A Christmas Carol." Elmore landed her film debut with a small part, playing a character named Ashae, in Ryan Coogler's directorial debut "Fruitvale Station" (2013). Her TV debut ended up being her breakout role as well, starring as Lieutenant Alisha Granderson on the Michael Bay-produced drama "The Last Ship" (TNT, 2014- ).
