Gerard Horan has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout his acting career. Horan began his acting career with roles in such films as "Sammy and Rosie Get Laid" (1987), "Closing Ranks" (1987) and "Hidden City" (1988) with Charles Dance. He also appeared in the thriller "Tank Malling" (1989) with Ray Winstone, the dramatic biopic "Chicago Joe and the Showgirl" (1990) with Kiefer Sutherland and the Emma Thompson dramatic adaptation "Much Ado About Nothing" (1993). He kept working in film throughout the nineties, starring in "Midnight Movie" (1994) with Jim Carter, "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" (1994) with Robert De Niro and the dramedy "A Midwinter's Tale" (1996) with Michael Maloney. In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the Jason Statham crime drama "The Bank Job" (2008), the Michelle Williams dramatic adaptation "My Week With Marilyn" (2011) and the Cate Blanchett box office smash dramatic adaptation "Cinderella" (2015). He also worked in television during these years, including roles in "Doctor Who" (BBC, 2004-) and "Detectorists" (BBC 4, 2014-15). Most recently, Horan acted on "Cradle to Grave" (BBC 2, 2015-).
