Actor Samrat Chakrabarti began acting at the ripe age of 15. He also appeared in the TV movie "Tempting Adam" (Oxygen, 2004-05). He also landed roles in various films, such as "She Hate Me" (2004) and the drama "The War Within" (2005) with Ayad Akhtar. He then appeared in the Molly Shannon comedy "The Wedding Weekend" (2007), the Shabana Azmi musical comedy "Loins of Punjab Presents" (2008) and "Kissing Cousins" (2009). He also appeared in "The Waiting City" (2009). In the 2010s, he then appeared in "Behind the Bodice" (2011), the thriller "Vishwaroop" (2013) with Rahul Bose and the Shabana Azmi dramatic adaptation "Midnight's Children" (2013). He also appeared in the dramatic period piece "Beyond the Mask" (2015) with Andrew Cheney. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Leftovers" (HBO, 2013-). Chakrabarti most recently acted in the Luke Arnold horror flick "Murder In The Dark" (2015).
