An actor who has brought his versatile talents to bear playing everything from authority figures to broad comic parts, Steven Hytner is best-known as hack comedian Kenny Bania on "Seinfeld." He worked in standup comedy while trying to break into the movie business, and his first role was in the comedy "Ski Patrol." Eventually Neil Simon cast him in the 1991 romantic comedy "The Marrying Man," featuring Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. While Hytner has played dramatic parts as various government agents in such popular features as "In the Line of Fire" and "Face/Off," he has been far more visible in sitcoms, particularly as Jerry Seinfeld's aforementioned fellow comedian. Hytner had recurring parts on other sitcoms as well, including "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" and "The Bill Engvall Show." He also made repeat appearances as a dubious motivational guru in the HBO tale of a coach turned gigolo, "Hung," and as a security guard in "Sonny with a Chance," the Disney series about a girl who wins a spot on a reality show.
