Born in 1994, Erin Moriarty began her professional acting career while she was still in high school in New York City. Her first screen appearance was in a six-episode arc on "One Life to Live" (ABC, 1968-2013) in 2010. The next year, Moriarty had her first prime time exposure in an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" (NBC, 1999-), then made her big screen debut in the Ben Stiller sci-fi comedy, "The Watch" (2012). In 2013, Moriarty caught the eye of the industry when she played the central crush of the teen boys in the Sundance premiere "Kings of Summer" (2013). Moriarty continued her ascent, appearing in her first series regular role as the daughter of Radha Mitchell's title character in "Red Widow" (ABC, 2013). Next followed a supporting role in the post apocalyptic head trip film "After The Dark" (2013) and a recurring role in the lauded first season of "True Detective" (HBO, 2014- ) as the daughter of Detective Mickey Hart, played by Woody Harrelson. In 2015 Moriarty appeared in no fewer than three movies - "Captain Fantastic" (2015), "Within" (2015), and as Mel Gibson's daughter in the thriller "Blood Father" (2015) - as well as a recurring role as the best friend of the title character in the high profile Marvel/Netflix series "Jessica Jones" (Netflix, 2015-).
