King was used effectively in supporting roles in dark, stylized actioners like "Sin City" (2005) and "The Spirit" (2008) and in low-budget horror films, she was entrusted with the lead as a damsel in distress or sexy criminal on the run. King was also a natural in comedy, and in addition to supporting roles in low-brow hits like "White Chicks" (2004), maintained a steady presence in primetime with recurring roles on sitcoms including "The Class" (CBS, 2006-07).
