A group of Indigenous Australian children embark on a journey to the Thalu, a place of great power, in order to save their homeland from a mysterious dust cloud and its inhabitants, the Takers.

Man Up the Tree

2. Man Up the Tree

The kids meet a strange man sitting in a box who tells them that if they want to know more about the cloud they'll have to ask the man up a tree, but first they'll have to get him down.

When Hudson, Em, Vinka, Noodles and Lali find themselves trapped in a strange schoolhouse presided over by an ancient principal, it falls on Samara and Keile to try and rescue them.

Legendary outlaw stockman Random Dan and his sidekick Big Joey find themselves bogged in the middle of a salt flat; Random Dan offers the kids something special if they are able to help dig them out.
Shadow Boxer

The kids make their way to a pass, but they find it blocked by the Shadow Boxer; they have no choice but to find another way around.
The Nhuka

The kids make camp at the base of a spooky looking hill and get their food bag out for dinner, only to find the food gone.
The Aunty Who Talked Too Much

7. The Aunty Who Talked Too Much

The kids meet an aunty making damper in her shack on the beach. As the bigger kids set up camp nearby the littler kids stay to listen to the Aunty yarn, it's been years since she's had anyone to talk to.

Em and Hudson are busy picking bush lollies when their friends are taken by bigger kids who steal their cart and compass.
Brothers

9. Brothers

Vinka requires food and rest, so the other kids set up camp; Samara, Hudson and Keile enter an old town, whose only inhabitants are a pair of brothers who haven't spoken for years.

Hudson feels convinced that he has the key as the children come into possession of all eight special stones.
