Footage surfaces of Bennett biff, Irishman heads home with Paris-Nice ending injury

Sam Bennett did not start the Paris-Nice tiime trial after wounding his right hand in a crash on Stage 3. Meanwhile, footage surfaced from that stage which shows the Irishman shoving Nairo Quintana and the rider who brought him down yesterday.

The argy bargy with Israel-Start Up Nation's Hugo Hofstetter, and the diminutive Colombian, resulted in a 800 CHF fine and a 40 UCI point penalty.

While the second incident involved Hofstetter, Bennett's decision to abandon the race was not related to the footage or the fine, but was based on medical advice.

Hofstetter seemed to express his opinion on the matter with this Tweet:
