The coronavirus outbreak continues its annhilation of the 2020 cycling calendar, forcing the cancellation of Paris-Nice Stage 8 and the postponing of the Giro d'Italia.
Paris-Nice will end a day early in view of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, organisers said overnight (AEDT).
Sunday's eighth stage into Nice has been cancelled, meaning Saturday's seventh to Valdebore la Colmiane will be the last.
"This decision, taken as part of the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, means that the final stage in Nice is now cancelled," a statement from organisers ASO said.
Several teams were said to be unhappy the race was continuing with Team Bahrain McLaren exiting before the start of Stage 6 and Israel-Start Up Nation announcing mid-stage it was their last.
The race has been staged throughout the week against a backdrop of cancellations and suspension across the sporting world.
The Giro d'Italia is another race affected by the outbreak.
"The organising committee of the Giro d'Italia's Hungarian stages declared the Giro's start could not be held in Hungary at the originally scheduled time," race organisers RCS Sport said on overnight (AEDT) in a statement.
"All parties have agreed that they are determined to work together to enable the Giro d'Italia to depart from Hungary at a later time."
It was due to start in Hungary in May, a new date will be announced no earlier than April 3.
