Coming off a woeful 2020/21 W-League campaign where the squad failed to win a game, finishing last with just one point, the signing of Tobin is a step in the right direction.
Since debuting in 2012, Tobin made over 60 appearances for the Sky Blues and was a starter in every game last year as they secured the Premiers Plate.
The 24-year-old, while still young, brings a wealth of finals experience to the Glory having also been apart of Sydney's 2012 and 2013 championship sides.
A highly-rated defender who can also slot into midfield, Tobin has represented Australia in the under-17 and under-20 Young Matildas sides.
Speaking on the move, Tobin expressed her excitement to be apart of the rebuild happening at Glory as they look to go one better than their Premiers Plate in 2014 and secure a first W-League title.
“It’s a really exciting opportunity to play for what has been a very successful team over the years,” Tobin said.
“The club went through a bit of a transitional phase last year. I’ve been a part of those in the past, that’s something exciting to be a part of.
“Alex [Epakis] has a great vision for the team culture and a very positive outlook towards the season. It all sounds very promising.”
Epakis was full of praise for Tobin, identifying her as a player who can lead the young team and perform on the pitch.
“Nat brings qualities as both a player and as a leader. She is a well-established and respected player,” he said.
“She perfectly fits the type of player we are looking to have within the club.”
