Famous for its steep short bergs on narrow country roads across the hilly Limburg region of the Netherlands, the Amstel Gold Race is an important and prestigious race that marks the start of the Ardennes classics.
The 255.9km men’s Amstel Gold Race starts from the town of Maastricht and ends in Berg en Terblijt, taking in 34 climbs.
It will be the more traditional circuit for the 11th edition of the women's race, with the race distance increasing to 157.3km over a course which includes 21 climbs.
The women's peloton will also depart from Maastricht, before completing a challenging day in the saddle in Berg en Terblijt.
The action begins on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand, with coverage of the women’s Amstel Gold Race beginning from 9pm (AEST), before the men's edition takes place at 10:35pm.
