Defending champions Mathieu van der Poel and Alison Jackson will go into the 2024 editions of Paris-Roubaix with vastly different expectations of making it two in a row over the fabled cobblestone roads of northern France.
Van der Poel took a dominant win last year and is coming off a string of top performances, including his most recent start being a victory at the Tour of Flanders.
Jackson was a member of the early breakaway that stayed clear of the favourites all the way to the finish last year, and it would take another case of lightning striking for her to triumph over the other favourites present in the race.
Of course, the infamous cobbles that are unique to Paris-Roubaix will have their say. The treacherously uneven and slippery farmroad rocks form 55.7 kilometres of the 260-kilometre route of the men's race, the women tackle 29.2 kilometres of cobbled roads, the final 17 sectors of the men's route over their 148.5 kilometre course.

Make sure to get the timings right, the women's race starts in AEDT, and finishes in AEST.
