The place to watch a world of cycling is on SBS and SBS VICELAND, with the online hub to find all the catch-up replays and highlights from the biggest races.

Australia's best cycling talent will battle it out once again for the chance to wear the coveted green and gold jersey as the Road National Championships roll into Perth from January 10-12.

The event will showcase brand new courses for riders to take on in the Western Australian capital, after an 18 year stint in Ballarat which gave fans some epic races.

SBS and SBS On Demand will be the place to watch the Elite Criteriums and Road Races, as well as the Under-23 Men's Road Race live and free.

The elite criteriums kick off the weekend of cycling on Friday, January 10, with current women's champion Ruby Roseman-Gannon (Liv Alula Jayco) returning to defend her title against former teammate Alex Manly (AG Insurance-Soudal) and Sarah Roy (EF Education Oatly), the third and fourth place finishers in 2024.

The men's is sure to see a new winner crowned though, with the absence of 2024 champion Caleb Ewan (Jayco Alula) paving the way for a field including Sam Welsford (Red Bull BORA-Hansgrohe) and last year's Under-23 winner Blake Agnoletto (Atom 6 bikes - Decca - Cycleur de lux).

Saturday January 11 brings the Under-23 Men's Road Race to act as a curtain-raiser for Sunday's elites, as 2024 winner Fergus Browning (CCACHE x BODYWRAP) returns for the chance to go back to back.
Sunday is Elite Road Races day, with the Women's race up first as Roseman-Gannon lines up in the green and gold along with multiple past winners including Amanda Spratt (Lidl-Trek), Brodie Chapman (UAE TEAM ADQ) and Nicole Frain (Ridley Racing Team).

After completing a hat-trick of Men's Road Race titles in 2024, Luke Plapp (Jayco Alula) will return in Perth but will have a new heavyweight contender in the race in the 2022 Giro d'Italia champion Jai Hindley (Red Bull BORA-Hansgrohe) who will appear at his first Road Nationals since 2020, this time in his home state.

2023 Tour Down Under winner Jay Vine (UAE Team Emirates), will also return to the Men's Road Race after missing last years Road Nationals.
