Amr El Solia's 95th-minute own goal gave Tunisia the edge over Egypt, while it was Youcef Belaïli who found the back of the net for Algeria against Qatar.
Belaïli's goal came, incredibly, in the 17th minute of stoppage time, and no less than 10 minutes after the hosts thought they had forced extra-time.
The Desert Warriors will now approach the final full of confidence after their final four heroics, knowing a win over African rivals Tunisia will bring a first-ever Arab Cup title.
