The 2024 edition was full of surprises as an expectant Glasgow crowd witnessed Tsige Duguma (women's 800m), Geordie Beamish (men's 1500m), Elle St. Pierre (women's 3000m) and Alexander Doom (men's 400m) secure the top step on the podium for the first time.
Olympic champions Julien Alfred (women's 60m) and Noah Lyles (men's 60m) are also expected to return for the famous 60m sprint in China, with the latter particularly keen to make amends for his runners-up effort against U.S. compatriot Christian Coleman last year.
Meanwhile, Armand Duplantis (men's pole vault) leads the list of field athletes set to return, having won Olympic and World Indoor gold last year.
