In a show of sheer professionalism and composure, an Hungarian reporter managed to continue his live broadcast while being hoisted in the air by a group of playful Irish football fans at EURO 2016.
Reporter, Mohay Bence was recording a live cross outside the Stade de France for Hungary’s M4 Sport TV channel, talking about the 1-1 draw between the Republic of Ireland and Sweden when he was ambushed by Irish fans.
In the video of the hilarious moment, Bence is initially struggling to hear through his ear piece and next minute he is being pounced on by a bunch of happy men in green.
As he is hoisted in the air the reporter continues his live broadcast without flinching, just aiming to turn around so he is facing the camera while sitting on a man’s shoulders.
At the end of the report, Bence is donned with a leprechaun hat on his head and surrounded by numerous smiling football fans.
The episode is proof that among the violence that has marred the tournament, there are plenty of crazy yet jolly fanfare at EURO 2016.
