Australian men's sprint wrap from day 2
Glaetzer rode third fastest in the qualifying round behind reigning Olympic Champion Jason Kenny and fellow Brit Callum Skinner. After their Olympic record breaking and gold medal winning performance in the men's team sprint with Phil Hindes on day 1, posting the third fastest time is admirable.
Oh, and of course, Kenny broke another Olympic record with his time of 9.551 in qualifying.
Glaetzer defeated Colombian Puerta Zapata in the next round to move in today's quarter finals. He faces Germany's Max Levy later tonight.
Pat Constable posted the 17th fastest time to move into the next round where he faced, you guessed it, Callum Skinner who comfortably out sprinted him.
