Catch all the action from the men's and women's La Flèche Wallonne races LIVE on SBS VICELAND tonight from 7pm (AEST) or live streamed via SBS On Demand.

It marks a major milestone in women’s cycling and the history of both famous races.

2020 will be the 23rd edition of La Flèche Wallonne Feminine dating back to 1998, while it is only the fourth Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femmes event.

The first of the two races, La Flèche Wallonne will take place on Wednesday, September 30 with Liege-Bastogne-Liege scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 4.
Both of the women’s races will take place on the same course as the men’s events.

While the global coronavirus pandemic has forced major changes to this year’s cycling calendar, it has not stopped the growth of women’s professional cycling.

The women’s races of the Ardennes Classics will be available to more 190 countries with 20 channels, including SBS, broadcasting the event live.

Newly crowned world champion Anna van der Breggen will be out to claim a record sixth consecutive La Flèche Wallonne victory when she lines for this year’s race.

It will be Van der Breggen’s first race since winning the road race and individual time trial at the UCI Road World Championships, which were held in Imola, Italy last weekend.
She has not been beaten at the top of the infamous Mur de Huy since 2015, and would break Dutch compatriot Marianne Vos’ record of most wins at Fleche Wallone if she was to win again this year.

Looking to stop the Dutch dominance of the race will be South-African rider Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio as well as Lizzie Deignan (Trek-Segafredo) and Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon SRAM).

Demi Völlering (Parkhotel Valkenburg) and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ Nouvelle Aquitaine Futuroscope) are two rising stars who could also battle for a place on the podium

Lucy Kennedy of Mitchelton-Scott will be Australia's best chance, while also keep an eye out for Kiwi Mikayla Harvey of Equipe Paule Ka.
The 2020 La Flèche Wallonne Feminine will be broadcast LIVE on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand from 7pm (AEST) tonight, and you can catch Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femme on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand from 8:30pm (AEST) on Sunday October 4.
