Australia currently sits top of Group B on 18 points, five ahead of Jordan in second, having won all six matches they've played.
The Socceroos still have two matches to play, but should they top their group they would go directly to the third round of qualifying and secure their place at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
Australia played Nepal in Canberra back in October 2019, beating them 5-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Jamie Maclaren and a brace from Harry Souttar.
