Freddie Murcury continues to leave his mark on the entertainment industry.

A year after Oscar-winning biopic We Will Rock You rocked cinemas around the globe, a brand new song of Mercury's has been discovered, with plans in place for an international release.

Discovered by the queer rock legend’s close friend Dave Clark, the previously unreleased track 'Time waits for no one' is set to be released through Virgin EMI on June 21.

“When we first recorded it, I went to Abbey Road and we ran through with just Freddie and [a] piano. It gave me goosebumps. It was magic,” Clark revealed during an interview on BBC Radio 2.

He added: “Then we got down to recording the track and we [added] 48 tracks of voices, which had never been done in Abbey Road before, then the whole backing. It was fabulous - but I still felt there was something about the original rehearsal.”
While the final track won't be released until tomorrow, the stripped back piano version has this week been uploaded to YouTube and showcases Mercury's voice beautifully.

Speaking to BBC, Clark said that it was recorded during a “haze of late nights and fueled by fabulous food, vodka, and Cristal Champagne”, adding that the final result is a “magic performance… he tasted every word.”
