Actress Anne Hathaway has fought back tears while describing how much she loves RuPaul's Drag Race.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Hathaway admitted that while Drag Race was her favourite TV show, she had never met RuPaul himself.
Colbert then asked the star what she'd say to RuPaul if given the opportunity.
“Just ‘I love you,” she replied.
“Well, why don’t you say it to him right now,” Colbert said, surprising Hathaway as RuPaul walked on stage.
“Darling, you are the winner of this week’s challenge. Shante you stay,” RuPaul told a teary Hathaway.
When asked what she loved most about the show, she spoke about Monet X Change, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars 4.
“Monet X Change’s entire journey. Just how amazing she was in season 10. I really take this very seriously,” Hathaway said.
She continued: “And then the growth between season 10 and season 11 [All Stars] — the way she stepped her pussy up... I feel like since I started being an actress I’ve learned how to step my pussy up. And now I’m just so thrilled for her and me and you.”
Here's hoping Ru signs her on as a guest judge in the near future.
