Social media users around the world have been bowled over by an emotional scene on The Bachelor: Vietnam, with two contestants appearing to leave the program to be together.
It all started with contestant Minh Thu explaining to Bachelor Nguyen Quoc Trung that she had found love, but not with him.
“I went into this competition to find love and I’ve found that love for myself, but it isn’t with you,” Thu said after not receiving a rose.
She continued: “It’s with someone else.”
Thu then walked over to fellow contestant Truc Nhu - who had received a rose - and, through tears, said: “Come home with me.”
After an emotional embrace, Nhu agreed and walked to hand her rose back to Trung.
“I’m sorry," she said. "I really want to get to know you because you’re someone who made me feel special and I haven’t felt that way in a long time."
Bachie Trung wasn't about to take the rejection lying down.
“I want to ask, if you decide this, would you feel regretful? This doesn’t change my decision," he said.
He continued: "I’m not going to give this rose to anyone else. You only get one chance in this life, and you need to take it. Only you, not anyone else. I want to let you know that I think you’ll have regret if you continue with what you are about to say."
And that wasn't the end of the story.
Screenshots shared on social media by Vietnamese viewers have revealed that Nhu eventually changed her mind and returned to the Bachelor mansion.
“After talking to Trung, I’ve changed my mind to accept this rose and continue this journey,” she said.
