Actress Brie Larson has always been , but perhaps never more-so than when she was recently roped into one happy couple's special moment - bearing witness to a fan proposing to his partner.
The moment took place at Comic Con over the weekend, where the Captain Marvel star was posing with two gay fans, John Chambrone and Richard Owen.
Then, just as their photos were being taken, Chambrone dropped to one knee and pulled out an engagement ring. The excitement was clear on both Owen and Larson's faces - and the photos have .
“I tried to take as little time as possible since I know photo ops are quick so I handed Brie this letter to explain to her why it meant SO much to Richard and I," Chambrone .
“Brie and I both placed the ring on his finger and we could see a tear welling up in her eye. She was truly fantastic and I could not be happier!”
Chambrone then shared the letter he had written for Larson, which elaborated on the special meaning she held for the couple.
“Sorry to ‘ambush’ you with the proposal, but there is a reason why once I knew we were going to meet you, that it would be the perfect opportunity to pledge my love to Richard Owen and promise to love him forever,” the letter read.
“Ever since I was a kid, Carol Danvers has been my favourite character in the comics. From her debut as Ms Marvel, through her Binary and Warbird years and finally full circle as the mighty Captain Marvel, I have followed her adventures and your portrayal of her was so on point!
“I met Richard earlier this year and once our eyes locked for the first time, we both knew we found our soulmates.”
He also revealed that on the couple's first date, they went to the movies to see Captain Marvel.
“The movie meant a lot to us and I was so glad that he now shares my passion for the greatest superhero in all the known universes,” he wrote.
Sharing the trio's photos on Twitter, Larson wrote: Y’all I was present for a proposal and I am CHANGED."
She added: "Much love to the happy couple!!!!"
