Australian drag queen Courtney Act keeps going from strength to strength, with the RuPaul's Drag Race runner-up announcing that she's signed on to host her own late night talk show for Channel 4 in the UK.
Describing herself as an "unreal girl", Act first appeared on Australian TV screens as a contestant on Australian Idol in 2003, making it through to the semi-finals and dazzling audiences with a rendition of 'You Don't Own Me' by Lesley Gore.
Act, who will be relocating to the UK for the program, told that she wanted everyone to feel welcome.
"This is my show and I say come on in, all you heroic misfits, those of you who are a bit chipped around the edges… I want to welcome you all," Act said.
She continued: "You bring the open minds and I'll bring the open bar and we'll meet in the middle for a gay old time!"
Earlier this year Act appeared as a contestant on Channel 4's popular reality TV program Celebrity Big Brother, using the stint as an opportunity to educate the masses on issues concerning members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
She went on to win the audience-voted program.
