Dan Levy isn't taking any more of this Schitt.
The Schitt's Creek creator/actor took to social media earlier this week to call out US airline Delta for removing an intimate scene from Sir Elton John's critically acclaimed biopic Rocketman.
"On a flight and noticed @Delta cut the gay love scenes out of @rocketmanmovie," Levy tweeted.
"Censoring LGBTQ love stories/intimacy is highly problematic and super disappointing."
It's the film has been censored by Delta, with suggesting the Atlanta-based airline had removed 'explicit' same-sex scenes from both Rocketman and coming-of-age comedy Booksmart.
At the time, raised the topic during red carpet interviews with Booksmart director,Olivia Wilde, who said: "I don't understand it."
She added: “There’s censorship airline to airline of films. There must be some kind of governing board to determine. We rated a certain way. If it’s not X rated, surely it’s acceptable on an airplane.
However, Delta soon backtracked on the airline edit, reassuring travellers that systems would soon be put in place to ensure LGBTIQ+ censorship never happened again.
“We are immediately putting a new process in place for managing content available through Delta’s in-flight entertainment," Delta spokesperson Emma Protis told .
She added: "Studios often provide videos in two forms: a theatrical, original version and an edited version. We selected the edited version and now realise content well within our guidelines was unnecessarily excluded from both films."
But if Levy's tweet is anything to go by, these changes have yet to be applied.
"This is so disappointing in the 21st century which is why the impact you have had in representing and advocating on behalf the LGBTIQ+ community is so important and something we can all aspire to," one follower responded to Levy.
"Thank you."
Another wrote: "That scene wasn't even explicit! It was 45 seconds of them fumbling to take off each other's belts!"
