Fans of reality TV series RuPaul's Drag Race are revisiting actor Naya Rivera's guest appearance on the show, celebrating the star's legacy after her at the age of 33.
Having portrayed Santana, a cheerleader who reckoned with her sexuality on Ryan Murphy's musical series Glee, Rivera's appearance on Season 9 of Drag Race further cemented her status as a loving and vocal ally to members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
"Naya Rivera was truly a light and showed us all how to be unapologetically ourselves," the official RuPaul's Drag Race Twitter account shared.
"We send our most heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans in this difficult time."
In her episode of Drag Race, Rivera forced the show's contestants to get their TV host hats on with their own talk shows. The queens were split into two groups and had to interview Rivera, who was promoting her book, Sorry Not Sorry.
She later joined RuPaul and Michelle Visage as a guest judge for the episode's runway.
"We've been binge watching RuPaul's Drag Race, and we started season 9 last night," one fan tweeted.
"The episode we started tonight... the guest judge was @NayaRivera. Needless to say I'm crying. RIP beautiful."
Another tweeted: "You were a star on Rupaul's Drag Race and a brill supporter & ally of the LGBT community, rest easy Naya, always fondly remembered."
