Actor Kevin Hart has appeared on Good Morning America in yet another media appearance centred on the controversy surrounding the star's old homophobic tweets and subsequent fallout as the scheduled host of this year's Academy Awards.

When asked by host Michael Strahan whether he would be hosting the 2019 Oscars, Hart replied bluntly - "No".

"I’m not hosting the Oscars this year," he continued, insisting he was "done" with the scandal.
"For the last time I’m addressing it," he said.

"I’m over it… There’s no more conversation about it… I’m over that, I’m over the moment."

When pushed by Strahan to explain whether or not his views had evolved as a result of the controversy, Hart dug in his heels.

"I’m not giving no more explanation of who I am. I’m just done."

He added: "... I don’t know what you’re looking for. I’m a good person, I love to love, if you don’t see that then it’s a problem with you."
Earlier this week Hart appeared on Ellen, where Ellen DeGeneres encouraged members of the LGBTIQ+ community to give the actor a second chance.

"There are so many haters out there," DeGeneres said.

"Whatever is going on on the internet, don't pay attention to them. That's a small group of people being very, very loud. We are a huge group of people who love you and want to see you host the Oscars."
