Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski might be a culinary expert, but he says he's still got a lot to learn about relationships and dating.

The cookbook author and spon-con king opened up about his struggle with co-dependence during an intimate conversation with Jessie Ware on her.

“I’m somebody who is pathological co-dependent,” he revealed.

“I’ve always lost myself in relationships, that’s like the person I am."

He continued: “I tend to lose my identity and I have abandonment issues, so I really try to make sure the person loves me and never leaves me.”
Candidly addressing his recent , the star shared that he was focused on “learning to be independent”.

“I think especially with the life I have now, I’m surrounded by people all the time," he told Ware.

“You have these crazy environments and then at the end of the day you’re left with yourself, and that’s a terrifying thing for me because I love people."

He added: “But at the same time being with myself is the most uncomfortable thing.

“I hate being on my own.”

Fans of Queer Eye were left bitterly disappointed last month when rumours that Porowski and grooming-expert Jonathan Van Ness were not, in fact, an item.

Addressing the gossip on Twitter, Van Ness tweeted: "For clarification, & I are a couple.... of very close friends who run a satirical couple account and may fall in love someday, but that day is not necessarily today."
