It's question fans are asking in the wake of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) awards nominations unveil today.
The nominations field fuelled criticism online, for the lack of black women and women of colour in the film acting categories, despite starring in a flurry of critically-acclaimed roles.
Korean-Canadian Sandra Oh was the only woman of colour nominated, getting a nod in the best female actor in a drama series category for her role in spy thriller Killing Eve.Fans queried snubs for Viola Davis in Widows, Michelle Yeoh in Crazy Rich Asians, and Regina King in If Beale Street Could Talk, a romantic drama based on a novel by the late great American writer James Baldwin.
