“Batman Sets the Pace” was wrapping up like most of the double header Batman episodes do.
After handily defeating the Joker, who was impersonating the big boned Maharaja of Nimpa (not a real country – I checked) so he could get Batman to write him a cheque (this episode had a lot of layers), Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson are enjoying some post-crime-fighting tea. Dick reaches for what appears to be a cookie and...
Aunt Harriet violently lashes out and slaps his hand away.
"Dick are you aware of how many calories there are in that cookie?" Source: SBS
Dick yanks his hand back, clearly terrified that she might tear it off with her superhuman strength fueled by a hatred of fat people.
"Dick, if you get fat, I... well, I will love you less." Source: SBS
“No Dick,” she says. “You’ll get as fat as the Maharaja of Nimpa.”
"I've made no secret of the fact that I hate fat people." Source: SBS
Then she literally says all of this: “I just saw his picture in the Gotham City Herald. He was on a tiger hunting expedition. And you never saw anybody so fat in your entire life..."
"Oh being fat is funny to you? Do you think this is a game?!" Source: SBS
But she doesn't stop. She's smelled blood and keeps going:
"... Mercy alive with all his money you think he could afford to see a doctor about a diet.”
"Alfred, bring the car around. Aunt Harriet's screaming about fat people again." Source: SBS
