Am I Being Unreasonable season 2

Season two picks up where season one left off: with Nic (Daisy May Cooper) coming apart at the seams. Remembering exactly how her affair with her deceased brother-in-law Alex ended hasn’t done her mental health any good, and being kicked out of the family home after the details came to light (at his memorial no less) isn’t helping.

Meanwhile, her estranged husband Dan (Dustin Demri-Burns) isn’t doing much better (one word: rollerskating), son Ollie (Lenny Rush) isn’t coping well with the crumbling status quo (not ideal, as he’s showing murderous tendencies), and is trusting former best friend Jen (Selin Hizli) really such a good idea after what she did last season? Well, obviously not – but it’s not like Nic’s shambles of a life is leaving her with many other options.

Season 1 of Am I Being Unreasonable is streaming now at SBS On Demand, with all episodes of season 2 streaming from Wednesday 5 March. Season 2 will also air weekly at 10.10pm Wednesdays on SBS VICELAND.

The Office (Saudi Arabia) season 2

Office drudgery, uptight co-workers, delusional bosses: it seems some things really are universal. The Saudi version of The Office – set in a courier company whose name means both “package” and more ominously “dismissal” kicks off its second season with boss Malik (Saleh Abuamrh) setting up a health seminar for his staff (it goes badly).

Later episodes see him embracing automation to improve productivity (it goes badly), encouraging the staff to air their grievances (it goes badly), putting together an advertising campaign on his own to promote the company (it goes badly) and turning to a dating app to improve his love life (it goes… you get the idea). But mixing familiar characters and a culturally unique setting to create relatable comedy – that’s one thing that doesn’t go badly here.

Both seasons of The Office (Saudi Arabia) are streaming at SBS On Demand.

Alone Australia season 3

It’s rugged outdoor adventure time, only you don’t have to leave the couch (and after seeing what some contestants go through, you might not want to), as season three of the hit series sees ten survivalists (five men, five women) dropped into the cold and rugged landscape of The West Coast Ranges, Tasmania, Lutruwita.

There they’ll have to figure out how to live off the land and create shelter as they each struggle to be the one who can endure the isolation the longest. The winner takes home $250,000; everyone else gets unforgettable memories of being cold, damp and on their own for weeks on end.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Alone Australia are streaming at SBS On Demand. Alone Australia Season 3 premieres with a double episode Wednesday March 26 at 7.30pm on SBS and  before finishing with a double finale on 4 June. All twelve episodes will be available with subtitles in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese and Korean, and with audio description for blind or vision-impaired audiences.

Rogue Heroes season 2

The battle for North Africa might be over, but for the surviving members of the newly formed SAS, the war continues. Fighting the Axis forces across Italy, the newly in charge Paddy Mayne (Jack O’Connell) – now working with Bill Sterling (Gwylim Lee), older brother of former chief and now POW David (Connor Swindells) – struggles to temper his anti-authoritarian streak with the need to be a real leader, while his ragtag unit does what they do best: strike down the enemy.

It’s high energy, rip-roaring action that still finds time to take a thoughtful look at the steep toll war takes on the cast of historical figures running around with guns blazing.

Rogue Heroes season 2 premiered Wednesday 26 February on SBS and SBS On Demand. Episodes air weekly each Wednesdays on SBS, with the new episodes also arriving weekly at SBS On Demand. Season 1 is also streaming at SBS On Demand.

Arcadia season 2

In a near future society where everyone has a government-installed chip in their hand, falling behind in your civic duties can be fatal. Education, behaviour, obeying the law – it all adds up to a citizen score, and if yours drops below 8 you’re banished to the wild lands beyond the wall that surrounds the city.

Season one ended with members of the Hendriks-Jens family (targeted by the system after the revelation that their high scores were the result of cheating) trying to survive on either side of the wall; season two begins with an escape attempt, an accusation of murder, and cracks beginning to show in Arcadia’s perfect system. With rebels on the outside and insurrection brewing within, the algorithm that controls everyone’s lives tightens its grip – and not everyone will survive.

Both seasons of Arcadia are streaming at SBS On Demand.

COBRA season 3

Things just keep on getting more difficult for UK Prime Minister Robert Sutherland (Robert Carlyle). Previous seasons saw him leading a country devastated by solar flares and rocked by cyber attacks; now there’s an environmental protest occupying an underground rail tunnel just as he’s hosting a state visit from a controversial Gulf State that’s vital to the national interest.

When it comes to thrills this isn’t a series that does things by halves, so it’s no surprise that things rapidly escalate on all fronts – even the personal, as Sutherland’s daughter Ellie (Holly Cattle) is caught up in a protest gone wrong and his marriage creaks under the strain. Kidnappings, disasters, and high-tech weaponry in the hands of criminals; it’s a good thing Sutherland can rely on the rest of the COBRA team to back him up… or can he?

Seasons 1 and 2 of COBRA are streaming at SBS On Demand. All six episodes of season 3 will be streaming at SBS On Demand from Friday 13 March.
