In the not too distant future, a viral plague has swept the earth. In a matter of weeks, it decimated 99% of men. The 1% were sent to The Facility but didn't survive. Creamerie picks up eight years after the near mass extinction. In a new world order designed by women, health care is free, education is free and carbon emissions are down. But there's something sinister happening in this utopia. Meanwhile on an organic dairy farm in rural New Zealand, run by Alex (Ally Xue), Jamie (JJ Fong) and Pip (Perlina Lau) they crash into a wild woman running across the road. She is discovered to have a magnificent beard and a disturbing growth between her legs. On closer inspection, the woman is a man (Jay Ryan). But all the men died... or did they?

Based on her memoir, Lindy West created Shrill with Alexandra Rushfield and Aidy Bryant, who also plays the lead, Annie. Annie wants to change her life, but not her body. She is pushing her career as a journalist and writer forward all while juggling bad boyfriends, an ill father, internet trolls and a perfectionist boss. Along the way, Annie, with help from her best friend Fran (Lolly Adefope), figures out who she is and what she wants from her life. Does Annie have flaws? Yes. Is she relatable? Absolutely, and that's what makes this superbly written comedy a must-see. The third and final season has just arrived at SBS On Demand, so there's no better time for a Shrill marathon.
Foodie Love
A mobile dating app connects thirty-something foodie singletons, Él (Guillermo Pfening) and Ella (Laia Costa). They embark on getting to know each other through the mediums of jamón, ramen and fine dining. But both are held back by insecurities and doubts fuelled by the scars of their previous relationships. They'll have to discover whether their common devotion to Japanese yuzu, or shared distaste for foodie pretension, will be enough to let them taste true love. Created and directed by Spanish filmmaker Isabel Coixet (director of which is streaming at SBS On Demand), Foodie Love is her first TV series and a salute to the things she loves most: romance, food and travel. Romance, food and travel in one series? Sign me up!
The Cook Up with Adam Liaw
There's nothing like cooking with friends and with 200 episodes, this show is the biggest commission in SBS's history. Adam Liaw, popular cook, author and TV presenter, is joined each night by two food-loving friends (such as Benjamin Law, Yumi Stynes and Jimmy Barnes) for a half hour of good fun and conversation as they cook up a variety of dishes centred around a nightly theme. Whether it's an ingredient, a style of cuisine or cultural inspiration, Adam whips up his dish first before his guests follow suit with easy-to-follow recipes and tips for viewers to follow at home in time for dinner. There will be celebrities, culture and lots of laughs in a series that provides everyday inspiration for foodies and non-foodies alike.

Future Man
