SBS Original 'The Jury: Death on the Staircase'

Over five unmissable episodes, this series re-enacts a real manslaughter trial (names, dates and locations have been changed to protect the identities in the original trial) with actors reciting real court transcripts word-for-word. But just as in a real court, the new jury is made up of 12 everyday Australians. The jurors reflect contemporary Australian society – a diverse range of ages, cultures, and life experiences. Will they conclude the accused is an innocent man, or determine he is guilty? Will the new jury arrive at the same decision as the original trial?

SBS Original The Jury: Death on the Staircase premieres Wednesday 6 November at 8.30pm on SBS. Episodes air weekly and will be available to stream on SBS On Demand the same day as broadcast (the final episode will be available the same time as broadcast).

Reyka season 2 premieres Thursday 7 November on SBS On Demand. Season 1 will also be available to stream from 7 November.

He also looks beyond conventional treatment into emerging alternative therapies and puts his body on the line seeking an answer to an intriguing question: could the so-called ‘fine line between pleasure and pain’ hold the key to helping us better understand, treat and manage pain?

SBS Original Osher Günsberg: A World of Pain premieres Thursday 21 November at 8:30pm on SBS and will be available to stream on SBS On Demand the same day as broadcast.

Following two vividly different timelines, we also revisit the tragic events of ’73 to see both a small Welsh community devastated by grief, and Paul as a junior officer who’s adamant not to make the same mistakes that he and the force had made once before.
