The titular Hernán is Spanish Hernán Cortés (Óscar Jaenada) who in 1519 is on a bloody mission to conquer Mexico. Filmed on location and featuring a cast from both countries, the lavish historical series brings to life this momentous time in history. Cortés finds he has not only fierce locals to contend with, but some who’ve sailed with him prove to be no picnic either.
Cardinal
This popular Canadian thriller is back for a fourth and final season. Set in the fictional town of Algonquin Bay, in the north of Ontario, Detective John Cardinal (Billy Campbell, The Killing) and his partner Lise Delorme (Karine Vanasse, Revenge) investigate major crimes and unearth the darker side of their picturesque community. There are plenty more to keep them busy this season.
