Grab your tongs and get fired up: barbecue season is back on SBS Food and this year there's both delicious food and fierce rivalries!
Every Tuesday night from 4 October to 22 November, check-in for a double dose of barbecue action in Big BBQ Season, with All Up In My Grill at 8pm and then BBQ Brawl at 8.30pm. There's more barbecue action on Saturdays too, with Ainsley Harriott firing up the barbie on the beach in Ainsley's Good Mood Food.
Here's a taste of what's happening in October and November:
All Up In My Grill
Tuesdays 8pm, 4 October to 22 NovemberDale Talde's is full of barbecue, so it's not surprising this Filipino-American chef and cookbook author has combined his restaurant and TV experience (as a contestant and later, judge, on Top Chef, plus appearances on Chopped and Iron Chef America, among others) with his love of the 'cue in this entertaining series. Talde fires up his barbecue to share innovative grilling recipes, plus some tried and true favourites, in this eight-part series - everything from to . The first ep kicks off with his take on summer classics, including steak and fries, those cheeseburgers and char sui BBQ ribs. After that, there are episodes devoted to tacos, restaurant-style fish, chicken (we can't wait to see what a recipe called 'angry chicken' is all about), vegetables, kebabs and a seafood feast.

BBQ Brawl S2
Tuesdays 8pm, 4 October to 22 November (the final two episodes air S1.30pm on Saturday 3 and 10 December). Bobby Flay, Michael Symon and Eddie Jackson face off as team captains in this season of BBQ Brawl, as some of the keenest pitmasters in America line up to see who's the best of the best. Chefs Rodney Scott and Brooke Williamson are the show's new judges and television personality Carson Kressley. The first ep sees the captains pick their teams. As the ten-episode series unfolds, the contenders tackle themes including Hometown Favourites, BBQ Hacks, Competition 'Cue (a celebration of low and slow cooking, inspired by the BBQ competition circuit), Seafood Showdown and BBQ Around The World.

Saturdays 6.30pm, 1 October to 3 December"A good meal can make my heart sing, and soothe my soul," Ainsley Harriott says in Good Mood Food. We think watching him laugh and sing has a similar effect, so it's fantastic to have him back with us. In season 2 of his cheery series, he's back sharing laughs and good food (and there's dancing, too). Along with some cooking in the kitchen, in each episode, he also heads to the beach ("It's my happy place," he says) where he fires up the barbecue to make dishes such as .
