The differing and diverse religious beliefs Australians hold will influence their vote this election.


Adjunct Fellow at Macquarie University Elenie Poulos says Australia has a long and complicated relationship with religion.

She told SBS Examines people are more inclined to vote based on their values, rather than on promises for tax breaks and cost relief.

"Some are influenced to change their vote by how politicians and parties fall on the side of morality issues."
