The Reserve Bank of Australia held an emergency meeting today [[THURS]] and cut interest rates to a new record low of point 25 per cent.


Opposition leader Anthony Albanese is ramping up calls to protect jobs and the economy during the coronavirus pandemic.

Labor is demanding urgent action and is anticipating banks will launch support measures for borrowers and businesses soon.

Mr Albanese also wants to protect vulnerable people, maintain living standards and safeguard businesses so they survive this crisis.
